This made it larger, which brought both comfort inside and significantly improved safety. The car was offered in sedan and Avant versions. Regardless of the body style, there was a choice of eight engines. Depending on the engine, it was possible to have the reliable and bulletproof Quattro all-wheel drive.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIn 1994, the C4 model underwent minor modernizations, and the name \"100\" was dropped in favor of \"Audi A6.\" The car received a package of styling changes and a range of new engines.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe factory in Ingolstadt also released sporty versions of the C4 model. Initially, in 1991, the Audi S4 variant debuted. It featured the already iconic 2.2L engine with 230 hp. In 1992, a version with a 280 hp V8 engine was presented. This engine was borrowed from the Audi V8 model – the brand's bigger sister. After the name change in 1996, a true gem was created – the Audi S6 Plus. The car with a V8 engine boasted 326 hp, allowing it to reach the first 100 km\/h in just over 5.5 seconds.
