Less than a year later, its production began at the Fabryka Samochodów Małolitrażowych (Small Car Factory) in Bielsko-Biała. The "Maluch," most commonly chosen in its red paint version, could be a substitute for the tiny Fiat 500, thereby giving citizens of the People's Republic of Poland a taste of Italian style.

Our Fiat 126 was produced in several versions – Standard, Special, and Komfort, although any limited models differed little from each other. Units produced in Poland often did not reach the domestic market but were exported to Germany or Italy, allowing our western neighbors to experience the spirit of the Polish People's Republic, expressed in the "Maluch's" angular bodywork. Beyond its iconic shape, the "Maluch" will forever be remembered especially by passengers usually traveling in the back seat, who always had to tuck in their legs.

The drawing was created by Wrocław artist Paweł Grabowski.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0988/0770/9992/files/MALFIA_NIE-MUG-01-BI_b64603d0-5245-45df-a319-1c2ef44326e9.png?v=1777990719
