One of the great strengths of T1 manufacturers was that they tried to adapt the production of new models to customer needs.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe T1 achieved immense popularity worldwide, which it earned with its rare universal character. Depending on the version, it could accommodate 2 to 9 people, and its speed reached 75 km\/h. The Transporter was also a favorite vehicle in hippie circles, and as such, throughout the 1960s, it accompanied groups of laughing flower children on trips to warmer climates. Production of the T1 ended in 1967, but it was not its definitive end.
