Its prototypes, Beetle (Żuk), Bumblebee (Bąk), and Odra, finally led in 1959 to the creation of the first series of this exceptional scooter from the People's Republic of Poland era, whose production lasted until 1965. In 2020, we are pleased to introduce the first series of t-shirts featuring the red Wasp.

The idea to build the scooter came from above - presumably because while in the West women with windswept hair zipped around on Vespas, People's Poland could not boast a similar machine, and Polish women had nothing to zip around on. The Wasp, with its neat, elegant body, had a touch of the West that Poles could afford. Moreover, it was stable and adapted to driving on difficult terrain, which together provided great comfort of use.

The drawing was created by Wrocław artist Paweł Grabowski.
