Its 1.1-liter 4-cylinder engine allowed it to reach a top speed of 110 km\/h with an average fuel consumption of 7.7 liters per 100 kilometers. The sporty version of the Octavia won its class in the Monte Carlo Rally three times in a row – in 1961, 1962, and 1963. In the 1990s, a new car was created, referencing the legendary Octavia, and it remains very popular on Polish roads to this day.
