Zetor 7211

The Czech counterpart to our domestic Ursus rolled off the production line for the first time in 1985, the same year Stanislav Griga scored the most goals for Czechoslovakia. The 7211 model featured a 4-cylinder diesel engine with 64.6 HP, a 12-volt battery, and weighed almost three tons. This strong contender immediately found its purpose, helping farmers traverse rapeseed fields. The Zetor, whose name echoes the roar of its engine, could lift almost 2.5 tons on its rear hitch, while also carrying an additional 70 litres of fuel. Occasionally, a luxury model appeared with an extra passenger seat and a radio, to keep all the exemplary workers in good spirits. The only drawback of the open cab was the cold wind entering and frozen ears, though our Czechoslovak friends didn't yet have the opportunity to acquire a warm sweatshirt featuring their favourite tractor back then.
