DT-75 crawler bulldozer tractor

The DT-75 is a crawler agricultural tractor that performs excellently as a bulldozer, among other uses, and in this form you can find it on the Nikiniki mug. It was designed at the Volgograd Tractor Factory and produced from 1962 to the early 21st century.

The DT-75 crawler tractor is the successor to the DT-54 model, produced from 1949. In the mid-1950s, work also began on other replacements for the well-known DT-54, but the newly developed DT-56 and DT-61 models did not meet all the requirements. This led to the creation of the DT-75 tractor, which incorporated many innovations. As a result, on December 30, 1963, the DT-75 officially replaced the DT-54 model on the main assembly line of the VgTZ.

By the beginning of the second decade of the 21st century, as many as 2,741,000 units of the popular DET were produced. From the mid-1960s, most units were exported, mainly to countries of the Eastern Bloc, such as Poland, Bulgaria, and Czechoslovakia. Moreover, the DET also proved successful in Cuba and some African countries. The main advantages of the DT-75 tractor include its reliability and very simple design.
