Junak M10

The Junak, sometimes called the "Polish Harley," was a loud vehicle extremely popular among Polish motorcyclists during the Polish People's Republic. Produced between 1956 and 1965, the Junak was a heavy and expensive machine for individual buyers at the time, which nonetheless did not deter motorcycle enthusiasts. The M10 model had a top speed of 125 km/h, exceeding the capabilities of its previous version. Due to this particular feature, among others, the Junak was used by the Milicja Obywatelska (Citizens' Militia) for pursuit operations. Nowadays, no one chases criminals on a proud Junak, which by no means implies that these machines are abandoned in rural garages. Well-preserved examples of the machine can be seen at motor shows organized throughout the country and in local automotive museums.
