Junak M10

The Junak, sometimes called the "Polish Harley," was a noisy vehicle extremely popular among Polish motorcyclists during the People's Republic of Poland era. Produced between 1956 and 1965, the Junak was a heavy and expensive machine for individual buyers at the time, which nonetheless did not deter two-wheel enthusiasts. The M10 model featured a top speed of 125 km/h, surpassing the capabilities of the previous version. Partly due to this particular characteristic, the Junak was used by the Milicja Obywatelska (Citizens' Militia) for pursuit operations. Today, no one chases criminals on a proud Junak anymore, which by no means implies that these machines are abandoned in rural garages. Well-preserved examples of the machine can be seen at motoring fairs organized across the country and in local motoring museums.
