Ural
The origins of the Ural motorcycle date back to World War II, as the Soviet M72 military motorcycle was its prototype. The machine with a sidecar could carry 3 people and a total load of 260 kg, and it performed well on long routes. Soviet M72s, produced in the city of Irbit beyond the Urals, were one of Stalin's planned ventures aimed at modernizing the army. The Ural as we know it gained popularity only after the war - in the 1960s, the frame and suspension were changed, and in one of its versions, a new engine with 32 hp appeared. In the 1990s, the Irbit factory was privatized, and the era of Ural production definitively came to an end. However, this does not mean that it is not still a well-known and liked machine - many an enthusiast can certainly call themselves the proud owner of this historic motorcycle.
