Velorex
The Velorex was a three-wheeled microcar produced in Czechoslovakia from 1950 to 1971, initially designed for people with disabilities. Its lightweight construction on a steel frame, covered with artificial leather, and motorcycle engines made the vehicle cheap, simple, and accessible to a wide range of users. The most popular model was the Velorex 16/350.
Despite its unconventional form, the Velorex gained considerable popularity not only in its home country but also in other Eastern Bloc countries, where it served as an alternative to expensive passenger cars. The Velorex appeared in many Czechoslovak films and TV series, becoming one of the most recognizable symbols of motoring there in the 1960s.
The drawing was created by Wrocław-based artist Paweł Grabowski.
