Velorex

The Velorex was a three-wheeled microcar produced in Czechoslovakia between 1950 and 1971, initially intended for people with disabilities. Its lightweight construction on a steel frame, covered with artificial leather, and motorcycle engines made the vehicle cheap, simple, and accessible to a wide range of users. The most popular model was the Velorex 16/350.

Despite its unconventional form, the Velorex gained considerable popularity not only in its home country but also in other Eastern Bloc countries, where it served as an alternative to expensive passenger cars. The Velorex appeared in many Czechoslovak films and TV series, becoming one of the most recognizable symbols of 1960s Czechoslovak motoring.

The drawing was created by Wrocław artist Paweł Grabowski.
