Brejlovec

Brejlovec is an iconic Czechoslovak diesel locomotive, the production of which began in 1972 at the ČKD Praha factories. Its distinctive front, resembling glasses, gave it its nickname – in Czech, "brejle" means glasses. In Poland, the locomotive is known as Nurek (Diver), which also perfectly captures its appearance.

These machines were indispensable in both passenger and freight transport. They quickly won the affection of railway enthusiasts thanks to their reliability and unique silhouette. Some units, after modernization, are still running on tracks, already over 40 years old! Currently, Brejlovec locomotives can be found mainly in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Fun fact: many versions of the Brejlovec were created, and its "spectacled" front became a railway icon in the region. Now you can always have a piece of this history with you – on a T-shirt, sweatshirt, or mug from our collection.
