Brejlovec
Brejlovec is an iconic Czechoslovak diesel locomotive, production of which began in 1972 at the ČKD Praha plant. Its distinctive 'goggle-like' front earned it its nickname – in Czech, "brejle" means spectacles. In Poland, the locomotive is known as Nurek (Diver), which also perfectly captures its appearance.
These machines were indispensable in both passenger and freight transport. They quickly gained the affection of railway enthusiasts thanks to their reliability and unique silhouette. Some units, after modernization, are still running on tracks, being over 40 years old! Currently, Brejlovec locomotives can be found mainly in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Interesting fact: many versions of the Brejlovec were created, and its "goggle" front became a railway icon in the region. Now you can have a piece of this history always with you – on a T-shirt, sweatshirt, or mug from our collection.
