Škoda 1000 MB

The Škoda 1000 MB was a groundbreaking model in the Czechoslovak automotive industry, produced between 1964 and 1969. It was the first Škoda car with a rear-mounted engine and a self-supporting body, marking a significant step forward compared to earlier designs. The 1000 MB model, designed as a car for the masses, quickly became one of the most popular vehicles in Eastern Bloc countries. Produced in the modern factory in Mladá Boleslav, it symbolized the technological development and industrialization of Czechoslovakia in the 1 960s. The name "1000 MB" comes from the engine capacity (1000 cm³) and the city of Mladá Boleslav, where the car was manufactured.

The drawing was made by Wrocław artist Paweł Grabowski.
