Škoda 1000 MB

The Škoda 1000 MB was a groundbreaking model in the Czechoslovak automotive industry, produced between 1964 and 1969. It was the first Škoda car with a rear-mounted engine and a self-supporting body, marking a significant step forward compared to earlier designs. Designed as a car for the masses, the 1000 MB quickly became one of the most popular vehicles in Eastern Bloc countries. Produced in the modern factory in Mladá Boleslav, it symbolized the technological development and industrialization of Czechoslovakia in the 1960s. The name "1000 MB" comes from the engine capacity (1000 cm³) and the city of Mladá Boleslav, where the car was produced.

The drawing was created by Wrocław-based artist Paweł Grabowski.
