Star 266 Truck

This legendary truck was created, as it were, at the request of the Polish Army, which was looking for a successor to the Star 66 – 660 family. Work began in 1969, and the first production Star 266 rolled off the line in 1973, launching the highly successful career of this vehicle in military and civilian service, serving as a chassis for countless specialized bodies. The all-wheel drive on all 3 axles, solid construction, powerful 6842 cm³ engine, and excellent off-road capabilities led to over 4,500 units being exported. In 1988, two Star 266s participated in the legendary Paris-Dakar Rally, where both crews reached the finish line.

To this day, over 10,000 of these vehicles are still in service with the Polish Army, and the secondary market brings joy to enthusiasts of truly extreme off-roading. The graphic depicts the Star 266 in its most popular flatbed body configuration.
