Land Rover Defender 90
The vehicle's history dates back to 1948, when the Rover brand created the Land Rover model, inspired by the Jeep. In 1983, Land Rover produced the direct predecessor of the Defender, a model known as "Ninety" and "OneTen", for the 90-inch and 110-inch wheelbases respectively. Over the years, the car underwent many structural modernizations, yet its styling remained almost unchanged, retaining many features in common with the Series models. Both the modular body of the vehicle, mounted on a frame, and the starkly designed interior were preserved. In 1990, the name Defender was introduced to distinguish it from the then-new Discovery model.
Its strong and simple construction, reliability, off-road capability, and the legend of its predecessors ensured the Defender was sold in all latitudes and held a place in many armies worldwide. It became a platform for countless specialized, sports, and custom modifications. The graphic depicts a Defender 90 equipped with expedition and off-road accessories.
