Mercedes-Benz W114 250

The Mercedes-Benz W114 was introduced in 1968 and, according to the marketing plan of the Stuttgart-based manufacturer, was intended to occupy a lower market segment than the S-Class – the second sedan from the three-pointed star. The second number in the name, in the case of our 250 model, refers to the engine size, i.e., 2.5 liters. In 1969, a coupé version was introduced, and in 1973, the W114 underwent a facelift. One of the innovations that Mercedes-Benz presented for the first time in its model was electronic fuel injection. In Germany, the model received the nickname "Strich Acht" – referring to its introduction year, while in Poland, Mercedes fans call it "przejściówka" or "puchacz." The W114 belonging to Greek taxi driver Gregorios Sachinidis, with 4.6 million kilometers on the odometer, is considered by the manufacturer to be the car with the highest mileage achieved by any Mercedes-Benz vehicle.
