Mercedes-Benz W114 250

The Mercedes-Benz W114 was introduced in 1968 and, according to the Stuttgart manufacturer's marketing plan, was intended to occupy a lower market segment than the S-Class - the second sedan bearing the three-pointed star. The second number in the name, 250 in our model's case, indicates the engine size, which is 2.5 liters. In 1969, a coupé version was introduced, and in 1973, the W114 underwent a facelift. One of the innovations that Mercedes-Benz first showcased in this model was electronic fuel injection. In Germany, the model earned the nickname "Strich Acht" (Stroke Eight) - referring to its launch year, while in Poland, Mercedes fans call it "przejściówka" (transitional model) or "puchacz" (eagle owl). The W114 owned by Greek taxi driver Gregorios Sachinidis, with 4.6 million kilometers on the odometer, is recognized by the manufacturer as the car with the highest mileage ever achieved by any Mercedes-Benz vehicle.
