Škoda 105 to wielkoseryjny przedstawiciel Škody 742 - czechosłowackiej rodziny kompaktowych samochodów osobowych. W ciągu dwunastu lat produkcji, z fabryk wyjechało 840 561 egzemplarzy tego modelu w różnych wariantach wyposażenia. Sprawiło to, że popularnością 105-ka ustąpiła jedynie swojej bogatszej wersji - Škodzie 120.

Na początku XXI wieku prym wśród zarejestrowanych u naszych czeskich przyjaciół samochodów wiodła wciąż 120-ka, a 105-ka znalazła się tuż za podium, wyprzedzona jedynie przez inne modele Škody. Co prawda teraz, po około 20 latach, ranking ten ma bardziej zmodernizowaną postać, ale pewne jest, że miłość do tego kultowego auta nie zgasła również w aktualnym stuleciu.
