WFM Osa

In the 1950s, three engineers, Krzysztof Brun, Jerzy Jankowski, and Tadeusz Mathia, created a unique scooter, humbly dubbed "Osa" (Wasp). Its prototypes, Żuk (Beetle), Bąk (Bumblebee), and Odra, ultimately led in 1959 to the production of the first series of this exceptional scooter from the Polish People's Republic era, which was manufactured until 1965. In 2020, we are pleased to release the first series of T-shirts featuring the red Osa.

The idea to construct the scooter came from above – presumably because while women in the West zoomed around on Vespas with their hair flying, the People's Republic of Poland couldn't boast a similar machine, and Polish women had nothing to zoom around on. The Osa, with its sleek, elegant body, had a Western flair that Poles could afford. It was also stable and adapted for riding on difficult terrain, which together provided great comfort of use.
