Rosomak

Despite its relatively short service in our army, the Rosomak Wheeled Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) has become a symbol of its transformation, modernity, and a break from the line of Soviet designs. Let me just remind you that the basis for this APC was the Finnish AMV XC-360P design from Patria Vehicles Oyj, which won the tender for the Polish army in 2002.

Compared to the original, the Rosomak gained amphibious capability, and the combat version was equipped with a Hitfist 30P turret from the Italian OTO Melara, produced under license by Bumar Łabędy. The transporter itself is produced at the Wojskowe Zakłady Mechaniczne in Siemianowice Śląskie under a long-term license, giving us the right to extensive modernization and sales. From 2005 to 2020, the Polish Armed Forces acquired 903 units of the Rosomak in various versions. Development work is still ongoing, and new versions are being created.

Liked by soldiers, modelers, and technology enthusiasts, the Rosomak had the opportunity to prove itself in combat conditions during our army's missions in Chad, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Our graphic depicts a thoroughbred predator in a version with a 30 mm cannon mounted on a Hitfist-30P turret.
