Audi 100 C4 Car

The design depicts the Audi 100 C4. This is the last, fourth generation of the Audi 100. It was presented in 1990, and the difference from its predecessors was immediately apparent. The vehicle looked completely different stylistically and received entirely new structural solutions. This made it larger, but it brought both interior comfort and significantly improved safety. The car was offered as a sedan and an Avant. Regardless of the body style, there were eight engines to choose from. Depending on the powertrain, one could have the reliable and robust Quattro all-wheel drive.

In 1994, the C4 model underwent minor modernizations, and the name 100 was dropped in favor of Audi A6. The car received a package of stylistic changes and a range of new engines.

The factory in Ingolstadt also produced sports versions of the C4 model. Initially, in 1991, the Audi S4 variant premiered. It used the iconic 2.2L engine with 230 HP. In 1992, versions with a V8 engine producing 280 HP were presented. This unit was borrowed from the Audi V8 model — the brand's larger sibling. After the name transformation in 1996, a real gem was created — the Audi S6 Plus. The car with a V8 engine boasted 326 HP, allowing it to reach the first 100 km in just over 5.5 seconds. Considering that it was still possible to pack the family for vacation, this car was unique in its class.
