Audi 100 C4

The design depicts the Audi 100 C4. This is the last, fourth generation of the Audi 100. It was unveiled in 1990 and immediately showed a difference from its preceding models. The vehicle presented itself completely differently in terms of styling and received entirely new structural solutions. This made it larger, but it brought both interior comfort and significantly improved safety. The car was offered in sedan and Avant versions. Regardless of the body style, there was a choice of one of eight engines. Depending on the powertrain, one could have the reliable and bulletproof Quattro all-wheel drive.

In 1994, the C4 model underwent minor modernizations, and the name 100 was abandoned in favor of Audi A6. The car received a package of stylistic changes and a range of new engines.

The factory in Ingolstadt also produced sports versions of the C4 model. Initially, in 1991, the Audi S4 variant was premiered. It featured the already iconic 2.2L engine with 230 hp. In 1992, versions with a V8 engine producing 280 hp were presented. This engine was borrowed from the Audi V8 model – the brand's bigger sister. After the name transformation in 1996, a true gem was created – the Audi S6 Plus. The car with a V8 engine boasted 326 hp, allowing it to reach the first 100 km in just over 5.5 seconds. Considering that it was still possible to pack the family for a vacation, this car was unique in its class.
