Motorynka

The Motorynka from Romet, manufactured in factories in Bydgoszcz, was a vehicle aimed at young people – those for whom a lack of luxurious bodywork and a low speed did not prevent them from feeling the wind in their hair and having fun. This moped, also known as Pony, could reach a speed of 40 km/h, which was in line with the assumption that the machine should be safe to use and should encourage compliance with traffic regulations. The lightweight Motorynka – 35 kg – could carry a person weighing 100 kg, and was characterized by ease of handling and fuel consumption of 2 to 2.5 liters of mixture (petrol and oil). Its undeniable advantage was the possibility of repairing it oneself, although the biggest plus of the Pony, especially valued by young people, was that the user of the iconic two-wheeler did not need a driving license to ride it.
