Motorynka
The Motorynka from Romet, produced in factories in Bydgoszcz, was a vehicle aimed at young people – those for whom a lack of luxurious bodywork and low speed didn't hinder their enjoyment of the wind in their hair and good fun. The moped, also known as Pony, could reach a speed of 40 km/h, which aligned with the assumption that the machine should be safe to use and encourage adherence to road traffic regulations. The lightweight Motorynka – 35 kg – could carry a person weighing 100 kg, while being easy to handle and consuming 2 to 2.5 liters of fuel mixture (petrol and oil). Its undeniable advantage was the possibility of self-repair, although the biggest plus of the Pony, especially valued by young people, was that the user of the iconic two-wheeler did not need a driving license to ride it.
