Motorynka

The Motorynka from Romet, manufactured in factories in Bydgoszcz, was a vehicle aimed at young people, meaning those who don't mind a non-luxurious body and low speed when it comes to feeling the wind in their hair and having fun. The moped, also known as Pony, could reach a speed of 40 km/h, which aligned with the assumption that the machine should be safe to use and encourage adherence to traffic regulations. The lightweight Motorynka – 35 kg – could carry a person weighing 100 kg, and it was characterized by ease of handling and fuel consumption of 2 to 2.5 liters of mixture (petrol and oil). Its undeniable advantage was the possibility of repairing it oneself, although the biggest plus of the Pony, especially appreciated by young people, was that the user of the iconic two-wheeler did not need a driving license to ride it.
