(short for siedmiotonowy, Polish - seven-tonne)

Most enthusiasts of armored vehicles and Polish engineering are well aware of the history of this light tank, derived from the licensed Vickers E design purchased in 1931. Work on the 7TP lasted from 1934-1935, during which time the flaws of its predecessor were rectified. This involved the innovative use of a diesel engine (the second mass-produced design of its kind in the world), and a large, two-man turret armed with a modern wz. 36 37 mm anti-tank gun, and reinforced armor. By the outbreak of war in 1939, approximately 130 units had been produced. Despite their small numbers, they did not play a significant role, even though they surpassed most enemy combat vehicles in terms of armor and armament, often allowing skirmishes to be decided in their favor. It holds a special place in the hearts of history enthusiasts.
