7TP

(abbreviation of seven-tonne, Polish)

Most enthusiasts of armored vehicles and Polish engineering know the history of this light tank, which originated from the licensed Vickers E design purchased in 1931. Work on the 7TP took place in 1934-1935, during which the flaws of its predecessor were eliminated, leading to the innovative application of a diesel engine (the second serially produced design in the world), and a large, two-person turret armed with a modern wz. 36 37 mm anti-tank gun, while also reinforcing the armor. By the outbreak of the war in 1939, approximately 130 units were produced. Despite their small numbers, they played a significant role, often outperforming most enemy combat vehicles in terms of armor and armament, frequently turning skirmishes in their favor. It holds a special place in the hearts of history enthusiasts.
