Rosomak

The Rosomak wheeled armoured personnel carrier (APC), despite its relatively short service in our army, has become a symbol of its transformation, modernity, and a break from Soviet designs. I'd like to remind you that the basis for this transporter was the Finnish AMV XC-360P design from Patria Vehicles Oyj, which won the tender for the Polish army in 2002.

Compared to the original, the Rosomak gained amphibious capabilities, and the combat version was equipped with the Italian OTO Melara's Hitfist 30P turret, produced under license by Bumar Łabędy. The transporter itself is manufactured at Wojskowe Zakłady Mechaniczne in Siemianowice Śląskie under a long-term license, which gives us the right to extensive modernization and sales. From 2005 to 2020, 903 Rosomak units in various versions entered service with the Polish Army. Development work is still ongoing, and new versions are being created.

Liked by soldiers, modelers, and technology enthusiasts, the Rosomak had the opportunity to prove itself in combat conditions during our army's missions in Chad, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Our graphic depicts a thoroughbred predator in a version with a 30 mm cannon mounted on the Hitfist-30P turret.
