Motorynka

The Motorynka from Romet, produced in its factories in Bydgoszcz, was a vehicle aimed at young people – those for whom a lack of luxurious bodywork and low speed were no obstacle to feeling the wind in their hair and having a good time. The moped, also known as the Pony, could reach a speed of 40 km/h, which aligned with the assumption that the machine should be safe to use and encourage adherence to traffic regulations. The light Motorynka – weighing 35 kg – could carry a person weighing 100 kg, and was characterized by its ease of handling and fuel consumption of 2 to 2.5 liters of mixture (petrol and oil). Its undeniable advantage was the possibility of repairing it oneself, although the biggest plus of the Pony, especially valued by young people, was that the user of the iconic two-wheeler did not need a driving license to ride it.
