Motorynka

The Motorynka, produced by Romet in its Bydgoszcz plants, was a vehicle aimed at young people – those for whom a lack of luxurious bodywork and low speed wouldn't deter them from feeling the wind in their hair and having a good time. This moped, also known as the Pony, could reach speeds of up to 40 km/h, aligning with the premise that the machine should be safe to use and encourage adherence to traffic regulations. The lightweight Motorynka – 35 kg – could carry a person weighing 100 kg, offering easy handling and fuel consumption of 2 to 2.5 liters of mixture (petrol and oil). Its undeniable advantage was the possibility of self-repair, although the biggest plus of the Pony, especially valued by young people, was that the user of this iconic two-wheeler did not need a driver's license to ride it.
