ZIL-130

The ZIL-130 is an icon of the automotive industry during the communist era in Poland and one of the most popular trucks in the former USSR. This legendary truck was developed by Moscow designers as a successor to the less successful 164 model. Its production began in 1962 and continued uninterrupted until 1994. In the meantime, the ZIL-130 saw many versions and production variants. Almost 3.4 million of these trucks were produced in the "Likhachov Plant" alone. Not only is the number of units produced impressive, but also its legendary fuel consumption - the ZIL-130 consumed about 30 liters of gasoline per 100 km.

Another characteristic feature of this vehicle was its unusual paint scheme for the 1960s. The "one hundred and thirty" stood out from the ubiquitous grey trucks on the roads with its blue-and-white cab.

In Poland, you can still find a ZIL-130 at work, and a T-shirt with graphics of this indestructible truck will be a treat for those nostalgically recalling the communist era, when the ZIL was at the height of its popularity.
