Willys

The Willys MB is a well-deserved veteran of World War II. It was the first 4x4 model to roll off the assembly line in numbers exceeding 1 million units. It outnumbered all German military Volkswagens, which largely contributed to the victorious actions of the Allies. The heroic Jeep earned its place to such an extent that President Dwight Eisenhower called it "one of the three decisive weapons the U.S. had in World War II."

Our iconic Jeep, sometimes called the G503, initiated the process of introducing similar types of cars (4x4 SUVs) into civilian life, which has led to many caring parents today driving their children to school in rather large four-wheel-drive machines. The Willys MB was also called "a sardine can on wheels," which only emphasizes its iconic character, making it perhaps even more recognizable than the Volkswagen Beetle.
